Dungeon Quest Reborn Beginner Guide: How to Start (2026)
Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Dungeon Quest Reborn
What is Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Dungeon Quest Reborn (DQR) is a Roblox action RPG released on March 24, 2026 by Delta Quarters OG and officially licensed by Voldex, the owner of the original Dungeon Quest. It is a faithful recreation of the classic 2018–2019 experience: pick up gear, run dungeons solo or in a party of up to a full server, beat the boss inside the time limit, and grind for Legendary drops.
At the time of writing it sits at roughly 27,000 concurrent players, 66 million visits and a 94% like ratio, and it is still receiving a new dungeon roughly every month.

If you are searching "what happened to Dungeon Quest", the answer is: the original still exists, but the community moved to Reborn.
Why does it feel so hard?
Three reasons new players bounce off:
- Level gates are strict. Each dungeon has an Insane and a Nightmare level requirement, and you cannot enter under-leveled. The game expects you to farm the previous dungeon until you hit the gate.
- The time limit is real. Most dungeons give 9–12 minutes. Running out of time on the boss is a loss, not a partial clear.
- Bosses have fixed attack patterns you are meant to learn. The first two bosses (Sand Giant, Ice Elemental) cycle their attacks in a set order. Once you know the loop, the fight has almost no randomness. See the Winter Outpost guide for a worked example.
Nothing about it is unfair; it is just a game that punishes rushing.
Your first hour
- Run Desert Temple on Easy (level 1). It is the only procedurally generated dungeon and the only one with three enemy rooms on Easy, so runs are quick. Move to Medium at level 6, Hard at 12.
- Sell everything you do not equip. Gold is the currency for gamepasses and XP boosts, not Robux.
- Buy the x2 Gold gamepass as early as you can afford it. At level 0 it costs 67K gold; by level 110 it costs 1.6 billion. Every ten levels the price jumps. This is the single most important economic decision in the game. Details on the VIP & gamepasses page.
- Pick a lane: Warrior, Mage or Guardian. Each dungeon drops a set for all three, so you will always find gear, but abilities and Legendaries are split between melee and mage.
- Hit level 20 for Desert Temple Insane, 27 for Nightmare, then push to 33 for Winter Outpost Easy. Winter Outpost is where the Ice King's sets and your first Legendary live.
- Party up from Hard difficulty onward. The community wiki's own advice is to never solo above Hard, and Hardcore mode gives you a single life.
Things there is no point looking for
- Codes. There are none and there never have been.
- A Robux shop for gamepasses. They cost gold.
- A way to reset item upgrade levels. Skills can be reset (free with the gamepass), upgrades cannot.
