Winter Outpost Guide: Levels, Ice Elemental & Drops (DQR)

Winter Outpost is the second dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn and, together with Desert Temple, one of only two dungeons with all five difficulties. It is where most players get their first real gear set and their first Legendary.

Enemies
There are only two mob types, which makes Winter Outpost a good place to learn the game's melee-versus-ranged rhythm:
- Frost Minion — melee. Closes distance and hits in a small radius.
- Frost Wizard — ranged. Fires projectiles from range; kill these first when a room mixes both.
Ice Elemental boss fight
The Ice Elemental has three attacks and cycles them in a fixed order, so the fight is almost entirely learnable.

Pattern: Ice Barrage → Fissure → Fissure → Summon → repeat.
How to run it:
- Rush the boss and stay on its right side. The opening Ice Barrage usually misses you there.
- During Fissure, use both abilities, then walk in and spam basic attacks. Fissure is slow to erupt, so standing still between the lines is safe.
- Keep moving through Ice Barrage. It is the only RNG-heavy attack; if you get caught in the middle you will take a hit.
- On the second Fissure, save your abilities. Summon comes right after, and dumping both abilities on the three Ice Minions as they spawn clears them before they disrupt the fight.
- Repeat. With this loop the fight has little to no RNG.
One known bug: an Ice Minion sometimes clips into the floor and zooms around. Ignore it, or drag it to the arena edge and it pops back out.

- Ice King's Warrior / Mage / Guardian sets — the target gear for this level range and what you should be wearing into Pirate Island.
- Crystalized Greatsword — the dungeon's Legendary.
