The Canals Dungeon Quest Drops: Bosses, Levels & Loot
Updated 2026-09-09 · Last verified 2026-09-09 · Roblox Dungeon Quest Reborn
The Canals drops two Legendaries, the Overlord's Rageblade for Warriors and the Overlord's Manablade for Mages, along with Warrior, Mage and Guardian versions of the Overlord's armor set. Below those sit 16 regular weapons, eight per lane, and Insane and Nightmare share the identical pool, so the difficulty you pick changes the gold and the fight rather than the loot.
It is the seventh dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn, added on 17 July 2019, gated at level 100 for Insane and 105 for Nightmare, on a 10-minute limit.
Every weapon that drops in The Canals
Both lanes get nine weapons: one Legendary and eight regular drops. The order below is strongest first, following the same tier-list source the rest of this wiki uses for drop ordering. No in-game damage numbers have ever been published for these weapons, so treat the ordering as a ranking rather than a stat table.
| # | Warrior (physical) | Mage (spell) |
|---|---|---|
| Legendary | Overlord's Rageblade | Overlord's Manablade |
| 1 | Bloodthirster | Mana Infused Spellblade |
| 2 | Dual Infernal Scimitars | Runic Spellscythe |
| 3 | Dark Ice Blades | Dual Arcane Slicers |
| 4 | Dual Magma Fangs | Amethyst Spellscythe |
| 5 | Giant Royal Axe | Toxic Spellscythe |
| 6 | Dual Razor Slicers | Elementalist Staff |
| 7 | Dual Crimson Daggers | Runic Pike |
| 8 | Stone Scythe | Sapphire Stone Wand |
There is no Ultimate weapon in The Canals. The Ultimate tier starts at Enchanted Forest and exists only there and in Northern Lands. Full cross-dungeon list on the Legendaries page.
One naming warning before you go comparing lists: the Pro Game Guides tier list files every weapon above under the dungeon name Temple Crypt. The game and the community wiki both call it The Canals. Same dungeon, two names.
Armor sets
| Slot | Set |
|---|---|
| Warrior | Overlord's Warrior Set |
| Mage | Overlord's Mage Set |
| Guardian | Overlord's Guardian Set |
The Overlord's set is what you want to be wearing when you walk into Ghastly Harbor at 110, exactly as Ancestral gear from Samurai Palace is what you should be wearing on your first Canals run.

| Gold per clear | not documented | not documented |
Gold figures for The Canals have not been recorded on community wikis. The only two documented gold data points in the game are Ghastly Harbor and Enchanted Forest, both on the drops page.
Mobs
Two types, fewer than any dungeon after it. Health values are not documented.
| Mob | Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|
| Bodyguard | Melee | Standard close-range attacker. Nothing exotic; the reason Canals runs stay fast. |
| Dark Magician | Ranged | Attacks at distance, so it has to be closed on or pulled rather than out-waited. |
Boss 1: Mage Overlord (mini-boss)
Uses dark magic and defends itself with Magic Minions. The minions are the fight: while they are up you are splitting damage, so a party that clears them together clears the Overlord quickly, and a party that ignores them burns clock it does not have on a 10-minute run.
Boss 2: Guardian Overlord (mini-boss)
Uses its axe to create an array of various explosive attacks. This is a movement fight rather than a summons fight; the fandom description does not break the individual attacks down further, so the pattern list is undocumented at the time this page was verified.
Boss 3: Warrior Overlord (final boss)
The Warrior Overlord uses a volley of long-ranged attacks while preparing a global detonation. Those two halves run at once: you are dodging projectiles at range for the whole cast, then the detonation lands across the arena regardless of where you stand. Individual attack timings have not been documented.
The three Overlords are unrelated to Ghastly Harbor's Corrupt Overlord, which is a mini-boss in the next dungeon along. Only the name is shared.
Wave Defence stops here
The Canals is the highest dungeon that supports Wave Defence, the optional mode available from legacy Desert Temple through this dungeon. It swaps the dungeon for a circular arena with endless waves: a random boss from that dungeon appears every 5 waves, loot drops every 15 waves, and reaching waves 30, 45, 100 or 300 for the first time on a map awards a Wave Defence title.
That makes The Canals the last chance in the game to farm a dungeon's loot pool without re-running its boss each time. If you want the Overlord's set complete, Wave Defence is the steadier route.
Where Canals loot sits in the meta
B tier, and briefly. Weapon power in Dungeon Quest Reborn is decided almost entirely by which dungeon a weapon drops from, so the Overlord's Rageblade and Manablade are fine at 100 to 110 and obsolete the moment you can enter Orbital Outpost. They share B tier with Steampunk Sewers and Ghastly Harbor loot on the tier list, one bracket above Samurai Palace's Sakura pair and well below anything from Enchanted Forest.
The practical rule is the same one that applies everywhere on this wiki: chase the Overlord's Legendary only until level 110 opens Ghastly Harbor, then stop and move up. A common Ghastly Harbor drop beats it. The weapons page has the same list ordered across all 14 dungeons.
Still to be documented
- Mob and boss health values
- Gold and EXP per clear
- Individual boss attack patterns for the Guardian Overlord and Warrior Overlord
- Drop rates for the two Legendaries, which have never been published for any dungeon

Frequently asked questions
What are The Canals drops in Dungeon Quest?
The Canals drops the Overlord's Rageblade for Warriors and the Overlord's Manablade for Mages, plus Warrior, Mage and Guardian versions of the Overlord's armor set. Underneath those sit 16 regular weapons, eight per lane, from Bloodthirster and Mana Infused Spellblade at the top down to Stone Scythe and Sapphire Stone Wand. There is no Ultimate weapon here: only Enchanted Forest and Northern Lands have an Ultimate tier.
What level do you need for The Canals in Dungeon Quest Reborn?
Level 100 for Insane and level 105 for Nightmare. The Canals is the seventh dungeon and has only those two difficulties; Desert Temple and Winter Outpost are the only dungeons with five. Both modes run on a 10-minute time limit and drop the same loot pool, so the difficulty you pick changes the gold and the fight rather than the weapon list.
Who is the final boss of The Canals?
The Warrior Overlord. It uses a volley of long-ranged attacks while preparing a global detonation, so the fight is a mix of dodging incoming projectiles and being in the right place when the detonation lands. Two mini-bosses come first: the Mage Overlord, who uses dark magic and summons Magic Minions, and the Guardian Overlord, who uses an axe to create an array of explosive attacks.
Does Insane or Nightmare drop better loot in The Canals?
Neither. Insane and Nightmare share the same Legendary and armor pool across every dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn, including The Canals. Nightmare pays more gold. The exact gold figures for The Canals have not been documented on community wikis, so run whichever difficulty you clear reliably inside the 10 minutes.
Is The Canals worth farming?
Only until level 110, when Ghastly Harbor opens. Weapon power in this game is decided almost entirely by which dungeon a weapon drops from, so a common Ghastly Harbor drop beats the Overlord's Rageblade. The one lasting reason to come back is Wave Defence: The Canals is the highest dungeon that supports it, and it hands out loot every 15 waves.
Why do some tier lists call The Canals Temple Crypt?
Because the Pro Game Guides weapons tier list files the Overlord's Rageblade, Overlord's Manablade and all 16 regular Canals weapons under the dungeon name Temple Crypt. The in-game name and the community wiki both use The Canals. It is one dungeon under two names, not two dungeons.
