Northern Lands Guide (DQR): Odin, Bosses, Mobs & Drops

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Dungeon Quest Reborn

Northern Lands is the 14th and newest dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn, released on August 31, 2026. It is a Norse-mythology dungeon of Vikings and Jotunns, ending with Odin himself, and it is the first dungeon whose name is in the game's own title bar: the experience currently shows as "[Northern Lands] Dungeon Quest Reborn".

Because it is days old, community documentation is thin. Everything below is confirmed; drop tables beyond the Legendaries are still being recorded and are marked as such.

Mobs

Three types. Health values had not been recorded on community wikis when this page was written.

MobTypeMechanic
Northern WarriorMeleeDamages players within a small radius of itself. Standard close-range mob; kite it into the group's AoE.
Northern MageRangedDraws a line toward the player and damages along it. Step off the line as soon as it appears.
Northern SpearmanMelee, targetedAttacks the player who has dealt it the most damage, creating a line in front of and behind itself that damages and stuns anyone inside. If you are top DPS, expect to be its target every time; stand to its side, never in front or behind.

Boss 1: Midgardian Champion (room 2)

Stands on a pillar in the second room and uses five attacks, all focused on dodging rather than damage racing. Community notes so far describe it as a pattern-recognition fight: watch one full cycle before committing to burn.

Boss 2: Bob, the Frost Giant

The second mini-boss. Uses a set of dodgeable spells, including one that requires you to stand behind the correctly coloured crystal. Read the colour cue, move behind that crystal, then resume. Getting the colour wrong is the wipe mechanic of this fight.

Boss 3: Odin (main boss)

Odin uses four abilities that combine the mechanics of the two mini-bosses before him: pillar-style dodge patterns from the Champion and the crystal cue from Bob. If you cleared rooms 2 and 4 cleanly, nothing here is new; it is just faster.

Bonus boss: Odin Reincarnation

After Odin, an optional bonus fight. Odin Reincarnation gives you three lives and uses eight abilities, all described as difficult to dodge. This is the hardest single encounter in Dungeon Quest Reborn at the moment. Treat the three lives as the budget for learning the eight patterns; a first clear is usually a survival exercise rather than a DPS one.

Where Northern Lands sits in the meta

Strange but true: Northern Lands' Ultimates (Hofund, Laevattein) are slightly weaker than Enchanted Forest's (Eden's Vengeance, Eden's Reaper) on raw numbers, even though this is the newer dungeon. Regular Northern Lands drops still beat every earlier dungeon's Legendaries, so it is the right place to farm gear from 180 onward — but if an Eden's Ultimate drops for you, it stays equipped. Full ranking on the tier list.

Regular Northern Lands weapons from weakest to strongest: Norse Blade / Northern Spellstaff → Northern Runic Blade / Viking Shield → Viking Hatchets / Ice Spellblade → Ice Greatspear / Viking Sceptre → Norse Greataxe / Runic Mace → Frost Giant Greataxe / Staff of the North.

Still to be documented

  • Mob and boss health values
  • Gold and EXP per clear
  • Full gear drop table

This page is updated as those are confirmed. Previous dungeon: Enchanted Forest. Full list: all dungeons.
