Aquatic Temple Guide (DQR): Mobs, Bosses & Sea King Fight

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox Dungeon Quest Reborn

Aquatic Temple is the 12th dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn, added on June 20, 2026. It is widely considered the hardest dungeon mechanically: every one of its three bosses has a passive attack running the whole fight, and the second boss floods the entire map outside its arena. If you are coming from Volcanic Chambers expecting to face-tank, this is the dungeon that stops you.

Triton sets are the gear you should be leaving with, and the target for entering Enchanted Forest at 170.

Mobs

All four mobs share the same health pool: 65T on Insane, 110T on Nightmare. Two of them are stationary pylons that cannot be taunted, which matters for Guardian players used to pulling everything.

MobTypeBehaviour
Temple GuardAoE, mobileRune-bodied sentinel. Rushes the nearest or highest-damage player, then slams both fists into the ground creating a circle that rapidly expands. The dash-and-slam is the same pattern as Ghastly Harbor's Burly Enforcer; its second pulse works like the Explosive Lava Walker. Kill or kite these first.
Temple SpiritRanged, mobileFloating legless caster. Fires repeated lines perpendicular to its facing across a wide radius, pauses motionless, then repeats or closes distance. Stand off-axis from where it is facing.
Defensive Cube PylonRanged, stationaryRotating cube. Its attack is a small square in the centre plus four lines around it forming a target; if you are targeted, move between the centre square and the outer lines. Cannot be taunted.
Defensive Pyramid PylonRanged, stationaryRotating pyramid. Fires three lines at the nearest player, one straight and two angled outward, the same mechanic as Orbital Outpost's Scout Drone. Cannot be taunted.

Because the pylons never move and never respond to taunts, the fastest clears kill the two mobile mobs first, then burn pylons from an angle their lines don't cover.

Boss 1: Temple Core Generator (room 2)

A floating geometric core powered by water energy. 195T on Insane, 375T on Nightmare. Three attacks, one passive.

  • Water Squares (passive) — roughly every 6 seconds it drops a straight line of damaging squares that drift across the arena. They can appear slightly above or below the line, so don't hug it.
  • Water Lines — four lines cross the stage at random positions and rotations, then lasers fire along them shortly after. Find a gap and stand still; running blindly is how people get clipped.
  • Water Orbs — after the fifth Water Lines, four orbs spawn at random spots and each homes on a random player toward where they stood when the attack began. They hit for massive damage. Move immediately after they spawn and keep moving; then the cycle restarts from Water Lines.

Count the Water Lines casts. Five, then orbs. Every time.

Boss 2: Ancient Temple Protector (room 6)

A taller Temple Guard with giant fists and a diamond eye. 195T Insane, 375T Nightmare. Five attacks, one passive.

  • Water Stream (passive) — the moment anyone enters the arena, every part of the map before the arena is flooded with a substance that deals 10% of max HP every 0.2 seconds. Touching the walls before entering can trigger it even with nobody inside. Everyone must be in the arena before the first player crosses.
  • Water Blast — fist slam producing a sunbeam-style explosion.
  • Water Squares — immediately after Water Blast, square outlines spawn and grow outward from the centre. Move between outlines.
  • Guardian's Strike — the boss faces a random player and slams, creating a small water rectangle that expands until it leaves the arena. This one deals critical damage that can kill through a full health bar. Sidestep the rectangle's line the instant the boss turns.
  • Horizontal and Vertical Water Lines — the outer ring floods, leaving only a central circle. Pulsing lines appear in a grid, vanish, then deal damage a moment later. Memorise the gaps while they pulse. Several patterns play in sequence. After the last one the cycle repeats from Water Blast.

Boss 3: Sea King (room 8)

Scale-armored humanoid with an oversized Trident, likely a Poseidon reference. 220T Insane, 400T Nightmare. Four abilities, two passive.

  • Tide Orbs (passive) — constantly summons a water circle over a random player, plus four smaller circles around them, cycling through every player in turn. This never stops; treat the arena floor as always hostile.
  • Tide Lines (passive) — periodically gives players a water aura. Pillars around the arena fire lines at anyone carrying it. Dispel the aura by stepping into one of the green circles on either side of the arena.
  • Square Pulses — trident slam producing four consecutive expanding squares. Unlike the Protector's version these deal normal damage. Each square is a slightly different size but they expand at the same rate.
  • Water Bombs — launches one sphere per player in the arena. Spheres fly at constant speed, so bombs aimed at distant players detonate later than those aimed at close players; being far away buys time but not safety. The cycle then repeats.

Practical run order

  1. Enter the arena together before the Protector fight; nobody lingers on the walls.
  2. Guardians: stop relying on taunt here. Two of four mobs ignore it.
  3. Bring a healer-type ability (Universal Heal or Aura of Life) — the passives on all three bosses guarantee chip damage.
  4. Twelve minutes is generous only if you don't wipe on the Protector's Guardian's Strike. That single attack causes most failed runs.

Drops

The Fandom drop table for Aquatic Temple was still marked "to be added" at the time of writing. Confirmed: Triton armor sets and the two Legendaries above. See the drops page for every dungeon's Legendaries and the dungeon list for what comes next at level 170.
